Product Description

Aniline, phenylamine or aminobenzene is an organic compound with the formula C6H7N. Aniline is the simplest and oneof the most important aromatic amines, being used as a precursor to more complex chemicals.Being a precursor to many industrial chemicals, its main use is in the manufacture of precursors to polyurethane. Theargest application of aniline is for the preparation ofmethylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDl).Other uses include rubber processing chemicals (9%), herbicides (2%), and dyes and pigments (2%).As additives to rubberaniline derivatives such as phenylenediamineldisambiguation needed and diphenylamine, are antioxidants. llustrative ofthe drugs prepared from aniline is paracetamo (acetaminophen, Tylenol. The principal use of aniline in the dye industry isas a precursor to indigo, the blue of blue ieans.
