Dichloromethane, an organic compound with the chemical formula CH2Cl2, is a colorless transparent liquid with an irritating ether-like odor. Slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol and ether, it is a non-combustible low boiling point solvent under usual conditions of use, and its vapor becomes highly concentrated in hot air before generating a slightly combustible mixture [4], which is often used as a substitute for flammable petroleum ether, ether, etc.
Uses:
1,Used for grain fumigation and refrigeration of low-pressure freezers and air-conditioning devices.
2, used as a solvent, extractant, mutagen.
3,Used in electronic industry. Commonly used as cleaning and de-greasing agent.
4,Used as dental local anesthetic agent, freezing agent, fire extinguishing agent, metal surface paint cleaning and degreasing agent.
5,Used as organic synthesis intermediates.
